Benefits of Wearing Organic Linen Clothes

Introducing
Organic Flax Elastic Trim
Every pair of Heavenlies has been thoughtfully designed, down to the thread. As a Biblically-based brand, we believe in not mixing materials (as instructed in Levitical law) and that every detail matters. Most natural underwear use various materials and have synthetic, polyester trims, which disrupts the flow of energy of the garment. We created the first of its kind, flax-based elastic ribbon, made from organic linen and sustainably sourced, FSC-certified natural tree rubber threads. We only use natural tree rubber and no synthetic rubber in the production of our organic elastic ribbons, made in Europe. After two years of selective sourcing and rigorous testing, we created the perfect elastic; that is soft, stretchy, comfortable and durable. (It's also biodegradable and compostable.) Heavenly Essentials is proud to be the only underwear brand in the world that features this state-of-the-art linen trim!
Why Organic Linen?
Linen is an ancient miracle fiber, that contains skin healing properties. It is breathable, UV-protectant, highly absorbent, moisture-wicking, anti-inflammatory & anti-static. It is temperature regulating, durable & long-lasting!
Flax, the raw material for linen is cultivated exclusively in the coastal part of Western Europe, making it the only plant textile fiber that originates in Europe. Flax requires a very specific soil and climate condition, and therefore European flax has never been grown elsewhere on the planet- making it truly ONE OF A KIND.
LINEN VS. COTTON: Linen is very comfortable and is the strongest natural fiber in the world. It is highly absorbent and dries faster than cotton. It is also more sustainable and longer-lasting than cotton or other natural fibers. Linen lasts up to three times as long as cotton and synthetics, making it very durable. Linen causes 1.5x less perspiration than cotton and is 20% more absorbent (highly superior natural fiber). The production of linen fabric uses twenty times less water and energy than the production of cotton or synthetic fabrics. Flax is the worlds most sustainable and regenerative crop. It is the most environmentally friendly & ecologically renewable resource on the planet. All of our flax fibers are grown organically and pesticide-free in France.
FUN FACT: Everything on the Earth is made up of atoms that are vibrating at specific measurable rates, known as frequencies. Linen has the highest fabric frequency (energy vibration) of any natural fabric, with a signature of 5,000 Mhz. Linen improves life-force with wear, since the human body has a resonant frequency of 70 Mhz, and the high frequency from the linen transfers to the body.
Flax is used medically for surgical sutures. It contains naturally occurring lignans (anti-inflammatory properties) that are highly compatible with the human body. This miracle-fiber is referenced all throughout the Bible (only fabric mentioned more than 100 times) and used for priests garments and the clothing of saints. Jesus exclusively wore linen and was wrapped in linen cloth for his burial. Linen is thought to be a divine material, that is also effective in reducing fevers and minimizing inflammation, especially on rashes or skin irritation.
Choosing organic fabrics is important for the health of our bodies and the environment. Organic materials help keep our air and water supply clean, by eliminating pollution caused from the manufacturing process. Organic fabrics are more sustainable than traditional fabrics, because they don't produce any harmful toxins and are free of pesticides that damage the Earth— and our health.
Organic Linen Advantages
1. Strength and durability
Linen is considered to be the strongest of all natural fibers. It is highly resistant to wear and tear and strengthens with every wash, making it a long-lasting fabric. Organic linen can last two to three times as long as other natural fabrics.
2. Breathable and highly absorbent
Linen is beautifully breathable, and allows more airflow to ventilate your body. It is also highly absorbent, retaining up to 20% of its dry weight in moisture. This makes linen the perfect fabric for hot temperatures, due to it's temperature regulating and moisture-wicking properties.
3. It's a natural fiber with a lower environmental impact than cotton
The production process of linen requires significantly less water than that of cotton, giving it a lower water footprint. Almost all of the flax plant can be used, making it a zero waste crop. Plus, being a natural fiber, it is also biodegradable.
4. Naturally insect repelling
Linen has natural insect-repelling properties due to the presence of lignin, a compound that deters pests like moths. This makes it an excellent choice for long-term storage, as it resists damage from common fabric-eating insects.
5. Luxurious
Linen is considered to be the most luxurious fabric in the world, due to its unique blend of softness, strength, and natural sheen, which only improves with time and use. Its rich texture, combined with its cooling properties, makes it a premium choice for essential intimates.
How is our Linen so Soft?
Heavenly Essentials developed an entirely new type of linen fabric, by looping together linen fibers- to create a knitted flax fabric (the same fabric type most commonly used for underwear). This gives all our products the traditional underwear look, feel and softness; except made from 100% organic linen! Our long-lasting linen gets softer with every wash and lasts up to three times as long as other materials.
Certified Organic Dyes
Heavenly Essentials only uses non-toxic, biodegradable, natural, plant-based dyes that contain zero heavy metals or chemicals. Our natural dyes are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic and NODS certified (Natural Organic Dye Standard). All our dyes are ethically sourced and botanically-based, made from: plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables or minerals. We are exclusively developing herbal-infused clothing, that offers wellness benefits with wear. We strictly use plant-based dyes, and never use colors made from insects. Our dyes do not produce any waste water and are environmentally safe.
Our white fabrics are exclusively whitened using oxygen and are free from bleach and harmful chemicals. Heavenly Essentials mission is to create high frequency, healing, heavenly clothing, and therefore do not carry any garments in the color black. Black is the absence of color, and wearing black strains your bodies bio-field and absorbs harmful EMF radiation. All of our colors are produced in small-batches, and dyed by hand at a natural, USA based dye house.
Health Benefits of Natural Fibers
Organic Linen is a natural alternative to chemical-laden synthetics, that can help promote healing, with it's hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties, that can soothe sensitive skin and reduce irritation. Synthetic fabrics (like Polyester and Spandex) and toxic dyes, which are industry-standard and regularly used for underwear, are directly absorbed through the skin when worn and enter into the bloodstream- causing a range of diseases and health complications. Microplastics (which includes harmful chemicals like BPA & PUFAS) were found in the blood of people who regularly wore plastic (Polyester) clothing.
Unnatural fabrics and chemical-derived dyes are directly linked with a number of health issues, including: cancer, infertility, metabolic disorders, skin problems, allergies and autoimmune diseases.
Reproductive issues are at an all time high, with 1 in 6 people globally affected by infertility — with synthetic underwear a leading contributor. Heavenly Essentials offers a solution to this growing problem!
Compostability
Heavenly Essentials underwear, tees and intimates will never biodegrade while wearing or washing them. They are actually designed to be stronger and last longer than conventional clothing. Flax is the most durable natural fiber in the world. Natural fibers can last three times longer, making them a great investment! Only when your garmets time is up, we recommend planting them in the compost.
When composted, linen Biodegrades (turns back to Earth) in as fast as two weeks!
